This oil & gas finder technology
can be used as a tool to make multi-million dollar
decisions:
- Block evaluation during new acquisition.
- Block relinguishment.
- Side track / horizontal drilling as well as
drilling prioritization / dry-hole probability
elimination.
- Re-visit dry-holes for second look.
HREM is a combination of well log modelling,
seismic interval velocities, electrical field
analysis, and magnetic field analysis. It is
anonshore CSEM (Controlled Sourced
Electromagnetic) technology.
The factors creating
electromagnetic anomalies are known :
- Deep tying of the geoelectrical anomalies.
- Change of petrophysical properties of
reservoirs.
- High resistance of hydrocarbons.
- Increasing of mineralization of underground
waters in contact zones.
- Presence of system of dynamic balance of
electric currents and charges inside the field.
One advantage of HREM
technology is combining HREM results and
structural maps of productive intervals of an
area, resulting in distribution schemes of
improved reservoir characteristic zones. It gives
a probability of hydrocarbon accumulation contour
detection, determination of exploratory-appraisal
well location or determination of operating wells
drilling sequence. |
